Foundational Offerings

Passenger’s five Foundational Coffees are available year round and also serve as the components of our two blends: Stowaway and Keystone. Our Foundational Coffees are purchased on an on-going basis from the same producer partners and represent the chief focus of our sourcing efforts.

By focusing so much energy on only five producers we strive to purchase our highest volume coffees in a way that supports on-going, meaningful partnerships with the same farms and communities year after year. With the founding of our sister company Necessary Coffee in 2019, we expanded the foundation of these partnerships and continue to purchase all of our Necessary offerings from the same producers as well.

As with all of Passenger’s coffees, Foundational offerings are placed in deep freeze storage immediately after arrival in the States. Freezing our green (unroasted) coffee completely halts the aging process, keeping it fresh indefinitely, and making it possible for us to pursue our Foundational buying model while offering incredibly consistent cup quality to our partners and guests.
