This lot comes to us from Mengku County of Lincang in a village called Dofu Zhai, which translates to Tofu Village. This lot was produced from a local varietal, a hybrid of pure Assamica and Change Ye Bai Hao. Picked between March 8th and 11th of 2017, the tea was hand fried in a wok, rolled and wilted very briefly before being dried by hand, once again in a wok. The resulting silver and green needled tea is referred to by locals as Song Zhen, which translates to Pine Needles. The soup produced by this tea is thick, rich and sweet.
