Rou Gui means cinnamon in Chinese and it is a varietal of Wu Yi Mountain Rock Tea that has been in existence since the Qing Dynasty. First Flush tea is plucked, wilted, fried, wilted once again and then lightly roasted to bring out this tea's subtle aromatic qualities. If preparing this tea Gongfu style it can be steeped many times.
Produced by Tea Master Li Zhen in Fujian, China, this Wu Yi Rock Oolong was produced from the Rou Gui cultivar.
